I have the honour to enclose a copy of a letter
addressed by Messrs, Harry Wicking & Co. to the Attorney
Generel, with regard to the firm of Messrs. Arkell & Douglas of
New York, in which they state that there is some difficulty as
to future orders.
Permission has been granted for the goods already on order to come forward, and for the shipments to be financed through the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation,¦ but I should be glad to learn what the objection is to Messrs. Arkell & Douglas.
